The Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life is dedicated to transforming the lives of our students by embodying and advancing a culture of student centeredness at UC San Diego.
As we reinvigorate this dedication over the next five years and beyond, the focus of our 2024-29 Strategic Plan remains steadfastly centered on our Division's mission.
Our Mission:
To create an inclusive and collaborative student-centered university that champions student success and well-being in our global society.
This dynamic plan envisions immediate initiatives while laying the foundation for sustained impact, embracing new technology, fostering a sense of community, data-informed decision making, and continued collaboration with university partners – providing a comprehensive support system tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.
The 2024-29 Strategic Plan presents a student-centered vision of excellence for the future of Student Affairs and Campus Life at UC San Diego.
2024-29 Strategic Plan Pillars
There are four core Pillars of our 2024-29 Strategic Plan, representing fundamental areas of focus that guide our division's efforts.

Foundational Values
These principles are foundational to the Strategic Plan Pillars that shape our division's work, and provided a framework for decision making and prioritization throughout the Strategic Planning process – ensuring that our efforts are rooted in values that promote academic success, well-being and holistic student development.
Our Values (in no particular order):
- Prioritizing fairness, equality, and inclusivity in all aspects of our Division's operations and decision-making processes.
- Promoting diversity and creating an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and supported regardless of background or identity.
