Strategic Planning Process
During the summer of 2023, the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life embarked on this ambitious journey to craft a strategic plan that would shape our direction for the next five years and beyond.
The collaborative planning process engaged stakeholders from across the division and university and, recognizing the importance of student input, utilized multiple feedback sessions to ensure that the plan resonated with the student body and reflected their needs and aspirations. University leadership provided guidance and oversight throughout the process, conducting reviews to ensure alignment with institutional goals and priorities.
Additionally, the division enlisted the expertise of consultants from the Institute for the Future (IFTF) to provide valuable insights and strategic guidance. Together, this collaborative effort ensured that the strategic planning process was inclusive, transparent, and driven by a shared commitment to advancing the mission of student success and well-being at UC San Diego.
Plan Ambassadors
Representing units and departments from throughout the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life, this carefully selected team of innovative, thoughtful and student-centered individuals have served as Strategic Plan Ambassadors since the project’s onset in August 2023.
The team has convened bi-weekly, meeting with campus leadership, community partners, and IFTF consultants to help develop and shape our 2024-29 Strategic Plan.
