A Message from Vice Chancellor Satterlund

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

vcsa-alysson-satterlund.jpgI am honored to share with you the 2023-24 Student Affairs and Campus Life Impact Report, a reflection of the incredible work, creativity, and dedication of our talented Student Affairs and Campus Life team and invaluable student-centered partners at UC San Diego.

This year’s report, like those before it, highlights our efforts in supporting the division’s 2019-24 Strategic Plan and advancing the university-wide priorities of a student-centered, equity-focused community. Our commitment to the UC San Diego EDI Strategic Plan for Inclusive Excellence and the EVC’s Collective Impact initiative continue to shape and guide our professional endeavors.

Introducing Our New Strategic Plan

What sets the 2023-24 Impact Report apart is its role in marking the sunsetting of our 2019-24 Strategic Plan and a shift in focus to our new 2024-29 Strategic Plan. This new plan reflects a collective, year-long effort, guided by our Strategic Plan Ambassadors and shaped by input across our community. I encourage you to explore the core Pillars of this new plan on pages 28-31, where we outline how these values will continue to drive our division forward.

We hope you will enjoy learning about the collective accomplishments of the UC San Diego Student Affairs and Campus Life team and the many partners who advance student-centeredness each day.

Go Tritons!

Alysson M. Satterlund, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life
