Dear Colleagues and Friends,
This 2024-25 Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life Impact Report marks our sixth edition, and the first highlighting achievements in support of our new 2024-29 Strategic Plan. It is a record of the dedicated work, inspired creativity, and well-earned honors of the Student Affairs and Campus Life team, and our invaluable student-centered partners across campus.
Each academic year presents both anticipated and unpredictable challenges for our work. And each year, I see the committed professionals on the Student Affairs and Campus Life team as they continually prepare for, or respond to, these challenges in thoughtful, empowering and impactful ways.
This Impact Report highlights only a fraction of the many ways our team achieved excellence in support of student success and created a vibrant campus life experience throughout the last academic year. I’ll share a few noteworthy items below because many more are highlighted within this document.
Congratulations and thank you to the dozens of team members who earned personal, academic, or professional achievements while concurrently working everyday to improve the student experience and outcomes. Your students and colleagues appreciate your hard work.
Given the anticipated budget constraints, we can be assured challenges will come our way in the coming years. I am completely confident that our Student Affairs and Campus Life teams will, as this document demonstrates, focus on our priorities to once again respond as highly skilled professionals and caring practitioners. We will lead with the strength of our shared values and power of our shared mission to make a meaningful impact on the UC San Diego community.
