UC San Diego's Assessment Day 2024 was a full-day, professional development program held on May 22, 2024 – curated by the offices of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life (VC-SACL) and the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (VC-EDI).

2024 Theme and Keynote

"Breaking Barriers: Redefining Assessment for Equity and Empowerment"

The theme of Assessment Day 2024 is "Breaking Barriers: Redefining Assessment for Equity and Empowerment," and the keynote speaker will be Jody Greene, Associate Campus Provost for Academic Success and Professor of Literature at UC Santa Cruz.

Sessions were held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Dolores Huerta Room and online via Zoom.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker

Jody Greene serves as UC Santa Cruz's first Associate Campus Provost for Academic Success. In 2016, after nearly two decades on the faculty, Jody became the Founding Director of UC Santa Cruz's Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning – now known as the Teaching and Learning Center.
