For the fourth year running, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life is programming a week's-worth of unique, in-person opportunities to get active, find community, explore the arts, and be engaged on and around campus during the March 23–31 break.

Red Baraat at the Epstein Family Amphitheater

Red Baraat is a pioneering band from Brooklyn, New York. Conceived by dhol player Sunny Jain, the group has drawn worldwide praise for its singular sound, a merging of hard driving North Indian bhangra with elements of hip-hop, jazz and raw punk energy. Created with no less a purposeful agenda than manifesting joy and unity in all people, Red Baraat’s spirit is worn brightly on its sweaty and hard-worked sleeve.
Reemerging in 2021 with a renewed focus, energy and sound, Red Baraat headlined the Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center with master percussionist, Zakir Hussain, performed at the Dubai World Expo, and toured its 10th annual Red Baraat Festival of Colors.

Candlelight Yoga

Unwind your mind by candlelight. An intuitive group class that integrates mind, body, spirit, and breath. Candlelight Yoga is a great way to release tension as you close out your week. This class includes postures beneficial for beginners and advanced students alike. The most important thing when you practice is to listen to your body and do what feels right for you. All levels are welcome.

CRASSH: Women’s History Month

Trip to the Birch Aquarium

Interact with hands-on exhibits that showcase cutting-edge research discoveries by Scripps Oceanography scientists on climate, earth, and ocean science.
The SIO Shuttle offers a direct mode of transportation to and from the venue.

In this program you will receive instruction and practice pop ups on land before heading out to the waves! You will spend the session at Mission Beach surfing in the waves under the watchful eye of professional and friendly surf instructors. Surfboard and wetsuit will be provided.

The Little Mermen

The Little Mermen are the ultimate Disney tribute concert for Disney fanatics of all ages. The band’s repertoire covers nearly a century of musical canon, including favorites from The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Frozen and Encanto. The group performs in full costume with band members dressing up as characters from the films. They tour nationally, having recently shared festival stages with Stevie Nicks, Green Day and Joan Jett.
