Whether you need resources, tips, or just someone to talk to, Triton2Triton is available through our interactive chat from Monday through Friday, 12 PM to 12 AM.
Outside of those hours, you may submit a form through the chat so that we can get back to you as soon as possible.

What is Triton2Triton?
Triton2Triton is a text-based support system for students to connect with trained peers when you need them. We operate from 12 PM to 12 AM, Monday through Friday.
Our mission is to provide a brave and expressive space for UC San Diego students to seek peer support and guidance related to their well-being. We aim to foster a community where students feel heard, validated, and supported in their progress toward greater wellness while on their academic journey.
Through our peer-to-peer support system, we strive to create a non-judgmental and empathetic environment where students can share their experiences, concerns, and challenges with trained peers who understand the unique pressures and stressors that come with being a student.
In 2024, Triton2Triton was recognized as finalist for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators' Outstanding Peer Education Group award. This award recognizes peer education groups which have done exceptional work on thier campuses. Awards are granted to peer education groups who have consistently provided health and safety education for students on their campuses in the past year.
What can Tritons do on Triton2Triton?
Our direct services for students include a support system that students can contact for emotional support, wellness guidance, and campus resources. Students can utilize the chat system to ask questions, seek assitance, and get connected to campus or support. We operate from 12 PM to 12 AM to be accessible to students when they need it!
We also provide our campus community with events, workshops, and trainings to advance our culture of care through education. Finally, our skilled student staff assist our UC San Diego community in the navigation of resources both on and off campus.

Our peer-to-peer well-being support system addresses the critical need for support for UC San Diego students run by UC San Diego students. College students are often faced with academic, social, and personal stressors, which can lead to certain challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress. These challenges can significantly impact a student's academic performance, overall well-being, and future success.
Our program will serve all UC San Diego students who need wellbeing support and guidance, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize that students come from diverse backgrounds and may have different needs and experiences, and we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all.
Our trained peers are skilled at communication and active listening, however, are unable to help in crises or matters that are out of the scope of the Triton2Triton program such as legal advice, academic advising, or medical emergencies.
If there is an urgent concern, please call your local police by dialing ‘911’, or call UC San Diego Counseling and Psychological Services’ (CAPS) 24-hour access line at 858-534-3755, and/or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
Who is the Triton2Triton Team?
The Triton2Triton team is a group of student staff trained in empathetic and active listening, resource navigation, and basic counseling skills. All Triton2Triton team members are NASPA Certified Peer Educators (CPE) led by the Creating Culture of Care Coordinator. Our trained peers come a wide variety of backgrounds, majors, and personalities!
